· 43% of males agree
that they have made friends from gaming, while 39% of females said so.
· Instagram (91%) is the most used social
platform among Gen Z, followed by WhatsApp (82%), Snapchat (77%) and TikTok
(73%).

72% of online gamers indicate their
favourite aspect of gaming is a time to relax and unwind, with females (73%)
and males (71%) roughly the same.

59% of online game players play games on
their smart devices, with 37% more females (80%) than males (43%), followed by
PlayStation which is used by 48% of online players.
·
Pinterest (39%), WhatsApp (39%) and Instagram
(38%) are the most trusted social media platforms for Gen Z. Facebook (11%),
Twitter (14%) and Reddit (18%) are the least trusted platforms.

Gen Z uses social media more often now
than in 2018, with the evening (48%) being the most prevalent time of the day.
