59% of all adults felt they were fully compliant with the Government restrictions before they eased on the 18th of May, but felt that only 12% of people in their local area were being fully compliant. However, when the restrictions eased on the 18th of May, only 6% feel that people are being fully compliant with the rules now.
With the Government easing restrictions on lockdown on the 18th of May and further
easing expected next week, iReach ran a nationwide survey of adults in Ireland from
the 21st of May to 27th May to gauge their attitudes to
Compliance with restrictions both before and after 18th of May. The
survey delivered over 1,000 responses and is nationally representative.
· 59% of all adults adults felt they were fully compliant with the Government restrictions before they eased on the 18th of May and 29% felt that they were mostly compliant with the lockdown rules.
· Only 12% of respondents felt that the people in their local area people were fully compliant and 36% of respondents felt people were mostly compliant with the Government restrictions before the eased.
· 20% are still hoping for a Staycation later this year with a further 23% having given-up on overseas travel and are now planning a Staycation. This change in holiday plans is highest amongst those aged 55+ reaching 30%.
· As the restrictions eased on the 18th of May only 6% of all adults felt that people were being fully compliant with the rules and 22% have been mostly compliant with the first phase of restrictions easing.
· 26% of respondents feel that people have been mainly complainant since the easing of restrictions on 18th May last.
